Radical Visibility Zine- A Trans Teen's Story
Radical Visibility Zine- A Trans Teen's Story- FUNDRAISER issue!
ALL of the money from this zine will go directly to the trans teen that I have been supporting and fundraising for!
you are welcome to pick whichever sliding scale option you feel like you can do!
if you would like to donate more, head over to our gofundme page for the teen!
the text in the zine is an autobiographical story written by the teen! All of the silhouette portraits are freehand and done by Nina Nightingale (book a gig from them at https://www.gigsalad.com/nina_nightingale_chicago ), they were made at the in person fundraiser event we had for my teen and serves as the documentation of that night!
Above you can see the cover and 4 inside pages of the zine! everything was done cut and paste style, doodled on, scanned, resized and then printed in full color. I used 16pt font to be better for folx with visual impairments. Also this is quarter size zine (4.25 x5.5 inches big) and 28 pages long!
******more info on the teen******
The teen is currently at-risk, unable to live with their parents, who pose a threat to the teen’s physical safety due to their gender identity. They have just graduated high school, and are starting college in the fall without any financial support from their family. Their housing situation is currently unstable as they are doubling up with other households for shelter. We are fundraising to help raise money for their college tuition, but also for the costs of transitioning (we need a bit over $10,000 for this first year at least!).
